Established in 1969, the death centenary year of great Urdu poet, Mirza Asadullah
Khan Ghalib, the college has made rapid strides in the field of education
and allied activities. Brainchild of a group of committed philanthropists who pooled
together their resources and energy to spread the light of contemporary education
among the hitherto under privileged sections of society particularly those belonging
to religious and linguistic minority groups, the institution has made a place for
itself on the academic map of the state and the country.
